I moved to a villa at Kerrisdale Gardens nearly six years ago, and can honestly say it’s the best decision I could have made.
I have made many new friends, and am part of a helpful, supportive community. The Café is an integral hub of life at Kerrisdale Gardens, providing great coffee, snacks, and meals if needed, as well as those very welcome social chats.
As I travel a lot, it is great to know that my villa is secure and well looked after in my absence.
Having further care available in the aged care side of the facility should we ever need it is reassuring to us and our families.
All the staff at Kerrisdale Gardens are very friendly and helpful.
All in all, it feels like home...
Why would anyone want to spend their twilight years living on their own, whether they be on their own, or fortunate enough to both be together?
This is the conclusion that Mary and I have arrived at after spending almost the last 6 years in independent living, in a villa at Kerrisdale Gardens.
We don't have to worry about what will happen to us as we get older, or in facing reality, what will happen to us should we require assistance in independent living, even if we require full care eventually.
We are comfortable with the knowledge that such assistance is available to us if and when the situation arises staying within the Kerrisdale Gardens unique facility.
We all belong to a community that we love after meeting each other upon moving in to Kerrisdale Gardens and now we are all great friends.
From management down, the care and friendship offered is beyond expectations, we are all one community prepared to assist any many ways should we see the need.
We would thoroughly recommend to anyone contemplating retirement to take the time to visit Kerrisdale Gardens and see for themselves.

I’ve been happily residing independently in an apartment at Kerrisdale Gardens for nearly 6 years.
Moving to this facility has been the best decision I’ve ever made. All staff members are wonderful and go beyond their expected duties, making residents feel at home and belonging to one blessed family. The maintenance employees ensure your problems are sorted in next to no time at all.
In general, the entire human resources are so supportive, kind and always willing to help when needed, especially in times of an emergency. I’m enjoying the good life – beautiful gardens, great facilities, spacious and well appointed apartment and many good friends. I found my life has changed for the better. I have many choices of things to do such as happy hour, coffee and chats in the Blooming Dales Cafe, tai chi, craft, singing for pleasure, exercise classes, services in the Chapel of the Good Shepherd, a well stocked library and great walking paths within the complex and adjoining Kerrisdale Estate.
Kerrisdale Gardens was constructed with a vision for the future that will allow it to continue evolving and developing, thus substantiating that I move comfortably through my senior years with facilities and surroundings that will suit my manner of living and wellbeing. The operation and standard of living offered by Kerrisdale Gardens continues to be the premier package in the retirement market place for people over 55 years. Home is where the heart is, and for me, Kerrisdale Gardens is “home.”
I’m forever grateful to the people who make me happy. They are the charming gardeners who make my soul blossom.
