Our Good Shepherd Lodge community is situated in the heart of Mackay and is renowned for providing our residents a tranquil, safe and caring environment, where around every corner there is a tropical garden or outside area, whilst still being within easy reach of everything.
Kerrisdale Gardens our second aged care community, situated north of Pioneer River, is our newest offering. Providing a ‘premier’ lifestyle choice for its residents. It is situated on 8 hectares of landscaped gardens where residents can benefit from evening breezes and sweeping rural views from their balconies, with the harbour and nearby islands in the distance.

Since July 1st 2019, Good Shepherd Lodge Ltd complies with the Aged Care Quality Standards and is assessed for compliance and performance against the Standards. These standards focus on outcomes for consumers and reflects the level of care and services expected. More information regarding these standards can be found here: Aged Quality Standards.
We publicly commit ourselves to uphold a Code of Conduct. We have attained a Certificate of Compliance for The Retirement Living Code of Conduct at both locations.
The Code of Conduct lets residents know which operators have committed to delivering the best possible experience for them.
It can provide peace of mind for families of residents entering retirement living.
The Board of Good Shepherd Lodge Ltd is committed to developing and enhancing the unique service that has been the foundation of the Good Shepherd Lodge for over 40 years. The role of the Board is to provide guidance through its governance to maintain and, where necessary, to improve the standard of care and facilities so that Good Shepherd Lodge and Kerrisdale Gardens remain at the pinnacle of aged care services in the district.

I moved to a villa at Kerrisdale Gardens nearly 6 years ago, and can honestly say it’s the best decision I could have made.
Why would anyone want to spend their twilight years living on their own, whether they be on their own, or fortunate enough to both be together?
I’ve been happily residing independently in an apartment at Kerrisdale Gardens for nearly 6 years. Moving to this facility has been the best decision I’ve ever made.
