Kerrisdale Gardens is a 4 storey complex, comprised of a 101 bed care facility, 29 apartments for independent living and 28 villas in an 8 hectare setting of beautiful, well maintained grounds and gardens.

It is situated in close proximity to the northern suburbs of Mackay in a residential area with views to the coast and hinterland. It is a new architecturally designed state of the art aged care facility with an accompanying retirement village that has been designed to provide a welcoming and attractive environment.

Residents are welcome to bring with them items such as a favourite chair, family photos or art work to personalize their new home. Those who wish to have a small refrigerator for their own personal use can do so for a nominal monthly fee.

Our commitment to promoting a healthy and safe environment for our residents includes maintaining smoke-free sites across all our aged care facilities.

Kerrisdale location has a homely resort feel where there are no strangers, only friends.

An onsite café, hairdresser, Chapel, childrens playground, Wellness Centre encompassing physiotherapy and allied health services, and a medical suite, gives residents access to a full range of services in a friendly, homelike atmosphere.

With a bus owned and operated by Kerrisdale Gardens, there are a variety of opportunities to attend functions and activities within the general community some of which may incur a small fee.

An Activities Officer coordinates an extensive range of activities including movies, art and craft and a busy schedule of outings using the bus. There is a well-equipped library attached to the large activities/function room on ground level.

Residents have the option of choosing to pay a Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD) in full or alternatively a Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) can be arranged or a combination of both. Examples are given for each room type below.

Situated on Level 1, these 37 individual suites are bright, spacious, fully air-conditioned with ensuite facilities, built in wardrobe and shelving with enough room to allow for other personal items. All rooms have ceiling fans and are tastefully furnished with quality drapes and finishes. The floor space is approximately 24 m²
Level 1 has a community dining room and kitchenette where residents can enjoy their meals while overlooking the view towards Mackay Harbour. There is a communal lounge room and a large outdoor deck attached to the dining room. There are areas throughout the floor where residents can sit and chat or do other activities such as play cards with friends and family.

These 17 suites are bright, spacious and modern, fully air-conditioned rooms with ceiling fans, and all are tastefully furnished with quality drapes and finishes.

Large, modern and spacious with an area of approximately 53 m², each of these 8 suites offer extensive views through large windows which open on to a private balcony. All rooms are air conditioned with ceiling fans and a built-in wardrobe incorporating ample storage and bench space. In addition to the quality bedroom furniture, each suite has 2 chairs, coffee table and small refrigerator. Quality furnishings and fixtures have been used throughout. The suites also include a kitchenette and bedroom that can be separated from the living area with the use of bi-fold doors.
Level 2 has a community dining room and kitchenette where residents can enjoy their meals while overlooking the view towards Mackay Harbour. There are areas throughout where residents can sit and chat, do activities or spend time with family and friends.
